Davenport Operator Job Openings
POSITION: DAVENPORT OPERATOR
Essential Functions:
- Operate a minimum of 2 machines while maintaining 100% efficiency
- Produce quality parts that meet blueprint specifications
- Perform daily preventative maintenance checks on machines
- Remove chips and maintain machine cleanliness
- Maintain coolant, grease, and lubricating oils
- Stock machines with raw materials
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Measure parts according to specifications
- Assist with machine setups when needed
- Make machine adjustments as required
- Sharpen and change tools as needed
- Use SPC (Statistical Process Control) as required
- Complete daily production tickets accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Change cycle time gears and spindle speed gears
- Change tool spindles (live and dead)
- Change thread rolls, reinstall attachments, and other attachments
- Drop and change cams as needed
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating Davenport or screw machines
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Compensation :
- $20 – $27 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
- Opportunity for advancement
- Paid via direct deposit weekly
Work Schedule:
• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Monday through Friday
• Overtime available
